Chris’s practice focuses on working with a variety of estate planning clients to assist them in achieving their personal, tax, and charitable goals. Chris enjoys meeting people, understanding the values that form their family’s decision making, and guiding them through the process of creating estate plans consistent with those values. Chris’ goal is to have clients leave with a values-based estate plan that delivers peace of mind. Chris is licensed in both Minnesota and Florida, making him especially well-suited to advise families with interests that span both states.

Chris was recognized as a North Star Lawyer by the Minnesota Bar Association in 2018 for his pro-bono work. This volunteer work included drafting estate planning documents for veterans and the elderly, researching court decisions and preparing a guide to represent religious minority asylum clients, and developing legal guidelines for values-based investors.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Chris lives in Carver with his wife, Rebecca. He is an active member of Wooddale Church and has served in the Connections Ministry, Life Group Ministry, and in Community Outreach events. He enjoys running, attending Timberwolves and Twins games, and welcomes any opportunity to play a U.S. or world history board game. He enjoys traveling to presidential homes, as well as American Revolution, Civil War, WWI and WWII battlefields.
