The total costs associated with hiring our firm on estate administration and trust administration matters will depend upon the complexity of the situation and the degree to which others, including the key Individual and other professionals, are involved and assist with the administration process. During an initial meeting with the key Individuals, we gather the information necessary to determine the steps needed to accomplish the plan and discuss the division of labor between one or more professionals (e.g., a financial advisor), the key Individual, and our firm.
Subsequent to the meeting with the attorney, the key Individual will be provided a retainer agreement summarizing the out-of-pocket expenses, together with the hourly rates for the attorney and paralegal that would be assisting the key Individual. The key Individual is provided a total fee estimate based upon everyone’s shared expectations of our firm’s involvement. The key Individual is then provided invoices on a regular basis. If probate proceedings are necessary, our firm will provide the key Individual with expected out-of-pocket filing and court costs.
